Art Gallery of Western Australia

CU members if you are a young Picasso, hold a passion for art or would like to improve your artistic skills then the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is the place for you.

Explore the Gallery Exhibitions

Take your Passport to Learning to AGWA and discover the wide range of artworks, including the story of Western Australian art, the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and current exhibitions which change throughout the year.

Explore the Gallery at your own pace as you enjoy participating in the free resources on offer, Unlocking Imagination and Drawing Breath. Ask at Reception for a journal and pencil whilst at the Gallery or download a copy online.

Art Activities

The Art Gallery also regularly hosts Artist Activation projects, featuring activities designed by independent artists from a range of backgrounds. Check AGWA website before you visit to find out whether an Artist Activation space is currently open. You can also bring along a sketchbook and pencil (2B only) and see what interesting things there are to draw among the many different styles of art on display.

Take your Passport to Learning along with your response journal or drawing to the friendly AGWA staff or volunteers at the Reception Front Desk to receive a stamp for up to 2 hours in your Passport to Learning.

AGWA online

Continue creating with your artistic flare at home by participating in online art activities including: Conversations with Rain and earn half an hour in your Passport to Learning for a reflection on each activity completed.
