With exciting and varied workshop themes such as the Big Rock Roadshow with a focus on minerals, geology and Earth history. Introducing learners to the fundamentals of computer programming through imaginative play-based learning, building custom mazes and solving problems with Indi Sensor Cars. A one-hour adventure with Dr Jacqueline Clarke learning about Myth, Minoans and Minotaur at our very own North Terrace Campus.
We hosted 27 students for their first visit to Tonsley Innovation District with thanks to the incredible Renewal SA’s Works Program, Students experienced a walking tour of the MAB and Team RoboRoos had students driving their very first cobots. The feedback was extremely positive, with students enjoying the activities on offer, learning something new and keen to revisit in the future.
We offered our first open to all bookable event at the Lyell McEwin Hospital with thanks to the dedicated team at the Northern Adelaide Allied Health Network, the Adelaide Health Simulation Clinic and SA Health.
Attendees experienced thrilling simulation activities, mastering basic life support techniques and explored the world of healthcare alongside friendly student doctors and nurses. From CPR to checking blood pressure, attendees experienced it all and had a wonderful exclusive experience. CU parent said “this was a fantastic opportunity and it was brilliantly run by all involved. Another wonderful and useful learning experience that my son would likely not have had if not for Children’s University”.
