Children’s University Australia pilots School Holiday Program at the Adelaide Zoo
Children’s University Australia was lucky enough to work with the Adelaide Zoo to pilot a school holiday program in the first week of the July school holidays. A two hour program was delivered which included an animal handling demonstration and conservation talk followed by animal observation activities around the zoo. After the activities at the Adelaide Zoo the children attended a lecture at the University of Adelaide and learnt all about extreme animal facts. It was a highly successful and fun day which saw two Children’s University schools participate in the program. The lecture component was promoted to all Children’s University Schools and children attended from as far as Balaklava and lots of giggles and gasps were shared.
