Makers’ Workshop is an arts, tourism and cultural centre that honours and supports the region’s history, makers, innovators and artists.

Opened in November 2009, the Makers’ Workshop has become the premier attraction for visitors to the region, and forms an integral part of the University of Tasmania’s Cradle Coast campus providing Tasmania with a unique, new style of University space.

Site includes: Makers’ Space art gallery, nine Makers’ Studios, heritage displays, visitor information centre, Australia’s largest handmade paper mill and a high-quality café and gift shop.

Bring your passport, check out all the awesome things to learn about and get your passport stamped at the Makers’ Cafe!

Open: Every day 9.00am – 5.00pm (Please note: Makers’ Workshop is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday and ANZAC Day)
