ART FROM TRASH 2019

Celebrating 25 years of ART FROM TRASH we are thrilled to be once again exhibiting artworks at the wonderful Long Gallery in the Salamanca Arts Centre. This is an exhibition for children, students, teachers, established artists and those wishing to have a go. Entries close at midnight on 11 April, 2019 and OPENING NIGHT is 26 April at 6pm.
So, check out the website, drop by to collect your materials and start creating.

ARTS PARTS IS OPEN THE LAST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH
NEXT ONE …SATURDAY 23 FEBRUARY 10AM-2PM

Thanks to everyone who came to the first ARTS PARTS for the year. The next one is on Saturday 23 February from 10am to 2pm. We have some amazing materials including retro fabrics, wool, reflective vinyl, paints, shells, colourful objects and a selection of quality paper.

We collect Arts Parts materials from responsible businesses and source items from donations to the South Hobart Tip Shop. LIKE and FOLLOW the ARTS PARTS Facebook page to see the latest goodies that come through the door.

Money raised through the sale of goods is redirected into the Resource Work Cooperative; a not for profit independent social enterprise that employs more than 37 people and diverts more than 625 000 kilograms of material per year from going into landfill.

WORKSHOPS & TOURS

As part of our Education role we deliver a range of workshops to schools and groups, as well as tours to interested groups. Throughout 2019 we will be offering a range of workshops for children and adults with Art from Trash being our focus until the exhibition closes in early May. Workshops are available to school groups, so please email [email protected] for more information.

Organised tours of the Resource Work Cooperative including the South Hobart Tip Shop, e-waste facility and Education Centre can be booked by calling 6223 3891.
