Genevieve Bailey

Genevieve Bailey was named as one of Australia’s ‘Top Film and TV of directors of 2012′ by Encore and Mumbrella. Melbourne Magazine also named her one of “Melbourne’s most influential, inspirational, provocative and creative people for 2011.” Genevieve’s films have screened internationally at festivals and have picked up over 25 awards to date.

Her first feature documentary, I AM ELEVEN, explores the world today through the eyes of 11-year-olds in 15 countries. I AM ELEVEN went on to screen in cinemas across Australia and for a record 26 week theatrical season at Melbourne’s Cinema Nova. Genevieve founded production and distribution company ‘Proud Mother Pictures’ and ‘doco3000’ an inclusive community for doc makers and doc lovers to meet for screenings and workshops in Melbourne.

Genevieve also founded Darlingheart Foundation which strives to empower and support children and women through education and experiential learning.
